Thank you for your interest in planting a tree in a state park located in New York’s Niagara Region.
Trees dedications are wonderful ways to remember and honor loved ones, celebrate milestone occasions, or just help keep our environment healthy. Applications for commemorative trees are reviewed on a rolling basis and, upon approval, planted. Tree dedications are available with a $500 donation submitted with your application to the Niagara Region State Parks tree planting program.
Choose between American Hop-Hornbeam, American Sweetgum, Gray Birch, Bur Oak, Sugar Maple, Red Oak, Red-Panicled Dogwood, River Birch, Shadblow, and Swamp White Oak.* Planted trees will be between 1 ½ to 2 cal. and will be supported with stakes and a waterbag.
Your tree will be tagged with the name and a brief description of the person or event you are honoring. Your dedication will also be listed on the Parks website.

Terms and Conditions:
Installation of any physical amenity other than a tree will not be approved and will be removed by Parks staff. Examples of other physical amenities which will not be approved include but are not limited to the following: benches, picnic tables, plaques, stone sculptures, trail signs/names, signs, etc.
Members of the public may not plant trees within the Parks on their own, though donors are welcome to assist Parks staff with planting commemorative trees.
Tree planting requires a seasonal window. Tree planting will only take place in optimal conditions as weather permits in accordance with best tree planting practices.
Parks will tag each tree with the name and brief description of the person or event being commemorated. No stone, plaque or marker is permitted, and Parks reserve the right to decline dedication language that is deemed offensive.
Parks will do everything possible to preserve commemorative trees, but reserves the right to treat, trim, or remove a tree, should that be necessary. State Parks also reserves the right to determine all other maintenance needs for commemorative trees, including treatment, mulching, and mowing, among other needs.
Donors may not treat, decorate, trim, alter, or otherwise interfere with a commemorative tree once planted. All Park rules and regulations apply to commemorative trees and donors.
